Today the remnants of a seventeenth-century shining beacon stand as a testimony to the Portuguese Empire. The Aguada Lighthouse in Goa is located within the fort complex. It once housed the bell from the Church of St Augustine which is now placed at the Immaculate Conception Church in Panaji.

Sinquerim is about 37 kilometres from the Dabolim Airport in Goa. It takes around one hour to reach Sinquerim from Goa Airport by car. The nearest railway station from Sinquerim is Thivim. The distance between Thivim Railway Station and Sinquerim Beach is 18 km via road. Self-driven cars, on-rent taxis, and bikes are available for rent in Goa at a nominal price.
